Conventional Fire Detection Systems

Conventional Fire Detection Systems provide general area/zone indication of the location of a fire alarm activation event. This is done by wiring the group of detectors within the zone back to a single connection point back at the fire indicator panel. These are prominent in older buildings where at the time of installation, conventional systems were the most cost effective solution. For many installations now. These have now been superseded by Addressable Fire Detection Systems where the slightly higher equipment cost is offset by the lower cost of installation. Conventional Fire Systems are now most cost effective solutions for smaller installations such as small apartment blocks and local gas suppression systems. M-Fire can provide quotations for new systems, direct replacements of existing systems and also upgrades of existing conventional systems to Addressable Systems to suit your needs.
